Stranger than Fiction
Truth is not only stranger than fiction, it is more interesting. | William Randolph Hearst

Ann
GRAPHIC DESIGNER | WRITER
I’ve always been a writer, an observationalist of sorts. From teenhood to parenthood, writing helped me process life and reflect on its process. Later, I turned to memoirs to dig deeper and share my experiences. I enjoy finding humor in daily life and sharing my thoughts to build connections.
David
FINE ARTIST | ASSEMBLAGE
David finds poetic meaning by manipulating and repurposing materials to create something new and transformative. In other words, he makes cool stuff. Well-read and traveled, his knowledge of art history and philosophy influences his work. He’s an artist living in an intellectual’s body, and they get along great.
Kelso
HUMAN RESOURCES
Kelso was a pound dog with three strikes against him before we became his forever home. They say you get the dog you need, but I think that goes both ways. Kelso enjoys walks by the lake, barking at strangers, and biscuits.
Mr. Leonard
ZEN MASTER
Living in the present is a fundamental of Zen, and Mr. Leonard embodies this wisdom. He doesn’t dwell on the past or worry about the future—instead, he lives in the moment, perched on the counter to watch my morning coffee ritual. He reminds me to greet each day with mindfulness.
